DJ Robzilla (Robert Waelder) is a Saint Paul, Minnesota–based boom bap beatmaker, beatboxer, and turntablist working in the tradition of J Dilla, Rahzel, and DJ D-Styles. A member of the Table Hogs turntablist crew, he trained under DJ Shotgun (of Goodie Mob) and has been performing for twenty years across the southeast circuit, since his first public set on February 10, 2006, the day J Dilla passed, which he played as a Dilla tribute at Lux Bar in Gainesville, FL. His catalog spans seventeen-plus releases on Bandcamp; production and turntable credits include collaborations with Open Mike Eagle, Cappadonna, and Saint Tellah.

DJ Robzilla (born Robert Waelder) is a boom bap beatmaker, beatboxer, and turntablist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, working in the tradition of J Dilla, Rahzel, and DJ D-Styles. Each of those influences maps to one of his three crafts: Dilla's sample-driven beat construction, Rahzel's vocal percussion, and D-Styles' deep-cut turntablism.
A member of the Table Hogs turntablist crew, he trained under DJ Shotgun (of Goodie Mob) and is the creator of "Boom Bap, Original Rap" on Gainesville, Florida's Grow Radio. His first public set was February 10, 2006 at Lux Bar in Gainesville, a Dilla tribute on the day J Dilla passed. The twenty years since have spanned breakdance battles, hip-hop shows, block parties, studio sessions, emcee battles, weddings, and nightclubs across the southeast circuit. Newly relocated to Minnesota's Twin Cities, he's now expanding into the upper Midwest scene.
His catalog spans seventeen-plus releases on Bandcamp, including Art Official Inelegance (2025), The Before Times (2025), EarthBeats (2021), and Deal With It (2021). Production, scratch, and feature credits include collaborations with Open Mike Eagle, Cappadonna, Saint Tellah, the Lyrical KingKong, and DJ MellowBlendz.
Live, he has shared stages with Danny Pines, Hugo $anchez, Saint Tellah, Purple Kloud, and Marley The Messenger. Currently focused on regional gigs across the Twin Cities and broader Midwest; national and international bookings considered when travel is covered.
